Stanford Health Care-ValleyCare president resigns

Scott Gregerson, president of Pleasanton, Calif.-based Stanford Health Care-ValleyCare, is resigning, effective Jan. 4, according to a Pleasanton Weekly report.

While he did not classify his departure as a retirement, Mr. Gregerson told Pleasanton Weekly, “as of now I have no plans other than to spend time with my young children and wife.”

Mr. Gregerson assumed the interim president and CEO role at ValleyCare Health System in early 2014, before which he was vice president of strategic partnerships at the health system. He helped lead the merger between ValleyCare Health System and Stanford (Calif.) Health Care in 2015, after which he became president of Stanford Health Care-ValleyCare.

Stanford Health Care President and CEO David Entwistle said the search for Mr. Gregerson’s replacement will begin immediately, according to the report.
