Stanford Children’s taps chief strategy officer

George Hamilton has been named chief strategy officer of Palo Alto, Calif.-based Stanford Medicine Children’s Health, effective July 7.

Mr. Hamilton brings two decades of experience in healthcare strategy and business, according to a June 30 Stanford Children’s news release. He previously served as chief strategy and development officer at Athenahealth and as vice president of strategy and business at UnitedHealth Group.

Stanford Medicine Children’s Health’s care network operates more than 85 locations across the Western U.S.
