St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital promotes Tanya Adcock to president

St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro, Ga., a 25-bed critical access hospital, selected Tanya Adcock, RN, to serve as president.

Ms. Adcock has worked at Athens, Ga.-based St. Mary's Health Care System, the hospital's parent, since 1997. She has served in numerous leadership roles at the health system since, including as palliative care manager and, most recently, as director of Highland Hills Village, an assisted living facility in Bogart, Ga.

In 2011, the Georgia Hospital Association named Ms. Adcock one of Georgia's Hospital Heroes. She holds a master's degree in nursing leadership and management from Walden University in Minneapolis.

Ms. Adcock succeeds Montez Carter, who left to serve as president of St. Mary's Hospital in Athens.
