St. Mary Mercy Livonia (Mich.) named Matthew J. Griffin, MD, CMO.
Here are four points:
1. Dr. Griffin formerly served as director for the emergency medicine residency programs at Detroit Medical Center.
2. He also previously served as vice president of medical affairs and CMO at DMC Huron Valley Sinai Hospital in Commerce Charter Township, Mich., and DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit.
3. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served as general medical officer in the U.C. Navy Medical Corps at Navy Hospital in San Diego.
4. In addition to his medical training, he completed the physician executive MBA program at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
