St. Luke’s taps CFO

Chesterfield, Mo..-based St. Luke’s Hospital has appointed Jon Vitiello CFO.

Mr. Vitiello has 30 years of experience in healthcare. He spent 17 years at St. Louis-based Mercy, where he served as system senior vice president of financial operations and chief analytics officer, CFO of the Oklahoma and Arkansas region, and CFO and chief operations officer for Mercy Health System of Northwest Arkansas, among other roles. 

Most recently, he served as CFO for CheckedUp, a patient education company providing tech-enabled solutions.

“As part of our strategic plan, we needed to find a CFO adept in creating mechanisms for sustained growth, and with a strong background in executing plans that lead to financial success,” President and CEO Andy Bagnall said in a March 11 news release. “Jon’s background made him the perfect choice for our health system. Jon also has considerable experience and ability in all facets of value-based care.” 

Mr. Vitiello is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Saint Louis University. 

He will start his new role with St. Luke’s in late March.
