St. Joseph Medical Center selects new president

St. Joseph Medical Center in Houston appointed Kimberly Bassett, RN, president, according to The Leader.

Ms. Bassett started working at Boston-based Steward Health Care, St. Joseph Medical Center’s parent, in 2012. She initially served as president of Morton Hospital in Taunton, Mass., and most recently as president of Norwood (Mass.) Hospital.

Ms. Bassett has prior experience serving as chief nursing officer of Lower Keys Medical Center in Key West, Fla., and CEO of St. Cloud (Fla.) Regional Medical Center.

Carl Beaudry, who has served as interim president of St. Joseph since August 2017, left to take on the president role at Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, another Steward facility.
