1. Dr. Abdelkarim previously served as CMO for St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, Calif., a part of Irvine, Calif.-based St. Joseph Health.
2. An internal medicine physician, he is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Association of Physician Leaders.
3. Dr. Abdelkarim also holds a master’s degree in healthcare management from the Harvard University School of Public Health in Boston.
