St. Joseph Health, Humboldt County taps former Presence exec for top post: 5 notes

Eureka, Calif.-based St. Joseph Health, Humboldt County named Roberta Luskin-Hawk, MD, chief executive, effective Feb. 1, 2018, according to a report by The Times-Standard.

Here are five notes:

1. Dr. Luskin-Hawk most recently served as CEO of Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago and Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Ill.

2. She previously served as chair of the medicine department at Chicago-based Resurrection Healthcare, which merged with Provena Health to form Presence Health in 2011.

3. She was also the founder/principal investigator of the Aids Research Alliance in Chicago.

4. She completed fellowship training in infectious diseases.

5. Dr. Luskin-Hawk succeeds David Southerland, St. Joseph Health, Humboldt County’s interim chief executive. Mr. Southerland will return to serving as COO of the organization.
