St. John’s Hospital Selects Dr. Gregory Mishkel as Medical Director of Prairie Heart Institute

St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Ill., has named Gregory Mishkel, MD, medical director of its Prairie Heart Institute, according to the hospital.

Dr. Mishkel currently is co-director of cardiac catheterization at St. John’s Hospital and director of interventional cardiology at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, Ill. He is also a member of Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants.

Dr. Mishkel is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.

He has previously served as a clinical professor of medicine at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield and as an assistant professor at the University of Toronto (Canada).
