St. Francis Hospital appoints Dan Jones CEO permanently: 4 notes

St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Ga., made interim CEO Dan Jones’ appointment permanent, effective immediately, according to a Ledger-Enquirer report.

Here are four notes:

1. Mr. Jones has served as interim CEO of the 376-bed hospital since August.

2. He previously served as CEO of Abrazo Community Health Network in Phoenix.

3. Equipped with more than two decades of healthcare leadership experience, he holds a master’s degree in health services administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.

4. He replaced David Koontz, who resigned in July, the same month St. Francis announced it would lay off 55 employees and reduce hours for an undetermined number of employees.
