Illinois’ McDonough District Hospital Names CEO

Stephen R. Hopper, president and CEO of McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, Ill., has announced he will retire effective Jan. 7, 2011, according to a Connect Tri-States report.

Mr. Hopper started at McDonough District Hospital in 1985. During his tenure, the hospital has expanded outpatient services, expanded community health education programs and maintained MDH’s cancer program accreditation.

The hospital search committee will use an executive recruitment firm to find a successor for Mr. Hopper.
