Heart Hospital of Austin (Texas), part of St. David’s HealthCare, has appointed Matthew Bursley CFO. He succeeds Amanda McCann, who recently became CFO of St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center.
Mr. Bursley stepped into the role Oct. 6 after serving as assistant CFO for St. David’s Medical Center and St. David’s Georgetown Hospital — a campus of St. David’s Medical Center. In that role, he collaborated with hospital leadership on budget management, strategic planning and performance tracking. He also partnered with physicians to develop business cases for new equipment and supplies, with a focus on financial sustainability.
Before joining St. David’s, Mr. Bursley served as market controller for HCA Healthcare’s North Carolina Division in Asheville, overseeing financial operations across multiple facilities. He brings more than a decade of financial experience in healthcare.
