St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children promotes CFO to interim CEO: 4 notes

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia selected George T. Rizzuto to serve as interim CEO.

Here are four notes:

1. Most recently, Mr. Rizzuto served as the hospital’s CFO.

2. He previously served as vice president of clinical and support services as well as vice president of finance and operations at Philadelphia-based Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

3. He replaces James Burke, who is leaving the role. Officials did not give a reason for his departure.

4. American Academic Health System, an affiliate of El Segundo, Calif.-based Paladin Healthcare, purchased St. Christopher’s from Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare earlier this year.
