Southwestern Medical Center gets new CNO: 5 things to know

Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton, Okla., has named Jayne Thomas CNO, the hospital’s CEO said, according to a Lawton Constitution report.

Here are five things to know about Ms. Thomas.

1. Her appointment became effective Nov. 1.

2. Ms. Thomas has nearly 30 years of nursing experience, including more than two decades in leadership roles.

3. Since 2012, she has been serving as CNO of Oklahoma City-based AllianceHealth Deaconess Hospital.

4. Before AllianceHealth Deaconess Hospital, Ms. Thomas was CNO of Denton (Texas) Regional Medical Center.

5. During her tenure at Denton Regional, she led the medical center to achieve Magnet designation through American Nurses Credentialing Center, according to the report.
