Valdosta-based South Georgia Medical Center hired Denida A. Cox, BSN, RN, to serve as CNO.

1. Ms. Cox most recently served as director of perioperative services at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary, a community hospital in Little Rock, Ark.
2. She previously served in numerous leadership roles at Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals, Ala., including as director of surgical services and CNO.
3. In her new role, Ms. Cox will oversee 1,200 individuals in the hospital's nursing division as well as oversee day-to-day clinical performance and patient satisfaction initiatives.
