South Carolina system CFO retires, successor named

Georgetown, S.C.-based Tidelands Health has promoted Erin Shaffer Beadle to executive vice president and CFO, succeeding Beth Ward, who is retiring after a 40-year career in healthcare finance.

Ms. Beadle joined Tidelands in 2008 and has served on the system’s senior leadership team since 2021, when she was promoted to vice president of finance and business analytics, according to a Jan. 8 news release. 

“Erin’s financial expertise, coupled with her extensive knowledge of our health system and community, will help build on the solid foundation that keeps Tidelands Health financially strong and positioned to serve our region well into the future,” Tidelands President and CEO Bruce Bailey said in the release. 

Ms. Ward retired after serving as Tidelands’ CFO since 2017. Before joining Tidelands, she was the CFO of University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center – University Hospitals and Clinics in Dallas. She also previously served as executive vice president and CFO of Wellmont Health System in Kingsport, Tenn.
