South Carolina hospital taps chief nursing officer

Rachel Drake, MSN, RN, has been named chief nursing officer of the MUSC Health Catawba (S.C.) Division, which includes two hospitals, The Lancaster News reported Oct. 26.

As CNO of the division, Ms. Drake will lead nursing operations at MUSC Health Lancaster (S.C.) Medical Center and Chester (S.C.) Medical Center. 

She joined MUSC Health — an academic health system based in Charleston, S.C. — in October to begin her new role. She previously served as associate chief nurse executive and chief nursing officer at Prisma Health Hillcrest Hospital in Simpsonville, S.C.
