Skiff Medical Center drops ‘interim’ from President Laurie Conner’s title

Skiff Medical Center in Newton, Iowa, tapped Laurie Conner to serve as its permanent president, effective March 19, 2017, according to a Newton Daily News report.

Ms. Conner previously served as vice president of business development for Mercy Medical Center-Des Moines (Iowa), Skiff Medical Center’s parent. She has also served as CEO of Dallas County Hospital in Perry, Iowa, and administrator for Mercy Medical Center-West Lakes in Des Moines.

Ms. Conner has served as interim leader of Skiff after Brett Altman left to take on the role of CEO of Cass County Health System in Atlantic, Iowa.
