Shriners Hospital for Children – Cincinnati picks chief of plastic surgery: 4 things to know

Shriners Hospital for Children – Cincinnati has appointed of David Billmire, MD, as the new chief of plastic surgery.

Here are four things to know about Dr. Billmire.

1. He has practiced plastic surgery in Cincinnati area since 1983. 

2. He has worked with Shriners Hospitals for Children – Cincinnati for 31 years.

3. In his new role, he Dr. Billmire said he wants to help the hospital "continue to prosper which means we are helping more kids," according to a news release.

4. Dr. Billmire earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus and completed his training in general surgery and plastic surgery at the University of Cincinnati.  His fellowships in pediatric and craniofacial surgery were done at the Foundation for Craniofacial Deformities at the Baylor University Hospital and Children's Hospital of Dallas.
