David Masterson has been appointed president of Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, Va., effective in July.
Mr. Masterson has served as president of Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Va., since 2021, according to a June 4 news release from Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara. He previously spent eight years as president of Sentara Williamsburg (Va.) Regional Medical Center.
He will succeed Brian Zwoyer, DNP, RN, who is transitioning to the role of vice president of nursing for special projects. Dr. Zwoyer was appointed interim president of Sentara Halifax Regional in 2019 and assumed the permanent role in 2020.
