Mr. O’Brien assumed the new position approximately two months ago, according to an update on his LinkedIn profile. He has experience as a chief nursing officer and chief operating officer, including previous service as the COO of Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
In his new role, Mr. O’Brien is responsible for Kindred Hospitals’ four specialty hospitals in South Florida, amassing a collective 265 beds. The system is headquartered in Riviera Beach, Fla.
