Sarah Bush Lincoln Health System names Jerry Esker CEO: 4 things to know

Mattoon, Ill.-based Sarah Bush Lincoln Health System appointed Jerry Esker president and CEO.

Here are four things to know:

1. Mr. Esker has served as the health system’s interim president and CEO system since July.

2. He has worked at the organization for more than 30 years, serving as vice president of practice management before being named interim president and CEO.  

3. His previous roles at Sarah Bush Lincoln include staff pharmacist and pharmacy director.

4. He is a past president of the Charleston Education Foundation and has served on the Illinois Hospital Association Mid-level Provider Task Force.
