Sanford VP, former CFO to retire

Bruce Viessman, vice president of operations for the Sanford Health Fargo (N.D.) network, will retire on March 31.

In 2008, Mr. Viessman joined Sanford Health as CFO for the Sioux Falls (S.D.) region and later for the Sanford Health network, according to a March 30 news release. In 2017, he became vice president of operations for the Fargo network. 

Before joining Sanford, he spent 21 years as CFO for what is now Sanford Worthington (Minn.) Medical Center.

Susan Jarvis, vice president of operations for Sanford Fargo, will assume the operational oversight responsibilities for the Fargo network locations in addition to her current role. She joined Sanford Fargo in 2010 as the executive director of emergency, trauma and critical care services before moving to vice president of operations in 2017. 

Ms. Jarvis became president and CEO for Sanford Bemidji (Minn.) in 2019 and returned to Fargo in January 2023 to serve as Sanford Fargo’s vice president of operations.
