Chesterfield, Mo.-based Mercy has selected Amanda “Mandy” Shelast as president of Mercy Southeast Communities, effective June 29.
Ms. Shelast will oversee Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, Mo., and the system’s clinics and services across southeast Missouri, according to a May 26 health system news release. She also will provide leadership to Mercy Hospital Stoddard in Dexter, Mo., and Mercy Hospital Perry in Perryville, Mo.
Ms. Shelast most recently served as network president for Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Health after leading the Michigan and South regions at Marshfield (Wis.) Clinic Health System. In that role, she helped lead the organization through its 2025 merger with Sanford Health.
She will succeed Eric Ammons, who recently retired after more than 30 years with Mercy.
