Mr. Wooten will succeed Bill Marlette, who came out of retirement to fill Sanford’s CFO position until Mr. Wooten was hired, according to a Jan. 5 Sanford Health news release.
For eight years, Mr. Wooten previously served as executive vice president and CFO at Jacksonville, Fla.-based Baptist Health.
He also served in executive financial roles with Omaha, Neb.-based Alegent Creighton Health, AdventHealth Central Florida and AdventHealth North Texas.
Mr. Wooten graduated from Schenectady, N.Y.-based Union College and has an MBA from the University of Dayton (Ohio).
