Samaritan Healthcare names Paul Ishizuka interim CFO

Moses Lake, Wash.-based Samaritan Healthcare has named Paul Ishizuka interim CFO, according to a Columbia Basin Herald report.

Mr. Ishizuka will begin work next week. He will replace Tom Legel, who took a job with Benefis Health System in Great Falls, Mont., according to the report.

Samaritan CEO Tom Thompson told the Columbia Basin Herald Mr. Ishizuka will work with Samaritan “as we define our finance leadership needs,” and is not a candidate for the permanent job.

Mr. Ishizuka is the former CFO of UW Medicine, the Seattle-based University of Washington’s healthcare organization. Prior to that, Mr. Ishizuika was CFO of Seattle-based UW Medical Center for 11 years. Mr. Ishizuka was also CFO of Stevens Healthcare in Edmonds, Wash., for nine years.
