Saint Francis Healthcare CMO retires

Cape Girardeau, Mo.-based Saint Francis Healthcare System announced the retirement of its CMO, Thomas Diemer, MD, effective Sept. 1.

Dr. Diemer served in the role for six years. He joined Saint Francis in 2006 as president of the medical staff before becoming medical director in 2008. Prior to his leadership roles at Saint Francis, he was a long-standing internal medicine physician, an Aug. 31 news release said.

“Dr. Diemer has been an integral part of our Healthcare System for many years,” said Maryann Reese, RN, the health system’s president and CEO. “I am deeply appreciative of his service and guidance.”
