RWJBarnabas Health, Rutgers selects Combined Medical Group CEO: 4 notes

West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health and New Brunswick, N.J.-based Rutgers University appointed Andy Anderson, MD, CEO of the Combined Medical Group.

Here are four notes:

1. The Combined Medical Group was formed after RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers University launched their joint academic health system July 24, and it includes practitioners from RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Health Group.

2. Dr. Anderson most recently served as CMO of Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care.

3. He has prior experience working at Chicago-based NorthShore University HealthSystem and Milwaukee-based Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin.

4. In addition to his medical degree, Dr. Anderson holds an MBA from Milwaukee-based Marquette University.
