Rutgers Cancer Institute taps C-suite leader

H. John Pounardjian has been named chief financial and administrative officer of Rutgers Cancer Institute in New Brunswick, N.J., effective June 1.

Mr. Pounardjian will also serve as deputy director for administration and planning, according to an April 28 news release from West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health. He most recently served as associate vice president and director for administration at Case Comprehensive Cancer Center in Cleveland. 

He will succeed Linda Tanzer, who is retiring after 30 years in the role.

In his new roles, Mr. Pounardjian will oversee administrative and operational efficiencies across the institute as it prepares to open the Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center, the state’s only freestanding cancer hospital, the release said.
