Riley Children's president exits

Gil Peri is exiting his role as president of Indianapolis-based Riley Children's Health, according to a statement from IU Health.

Mr. Peri joined the health system in June 2021 after spending time as president and COO of Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford. Riley Children's did not provide a reason for his departure.

Ryan Nagy, MD, has been named interim president of Riley Children's. He is the president of the IU Health adult academic health center with responsibilities for the strategic direction and priorities of three hospitals.

He is an anesthesiologist and spent time as chief of anesthesiology and chief medical officer before taking on additional leadership roles. He became president of AAHC in 2016 and oversaw the creation of the system's new downtown Indianapolis hospital project.
