While Mr. Vecchione serves the remainder of the contract period, Lifespan’s board of directors will launch a national search for a successor. Mr. Vecchione joined Lifespan as president and CEO in Sept. 1998 after serving as the executive vice president of the New York Presbyterian Healthcare System.
