Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point hires new CEO: 4 notes

Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson, Fla., selected Sharon D. Hayes, BSN, RN, to serve as CEO, effective Feb. 19.

1. Ms. Hayes’ prior experience includes serving as CEO of Edward White Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla., and COO of Chippenham Medical Center in Richmond, Va.

2. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

3. She earned her MBA from Boca Raton-based Florida Atlantic University.

4. Ms. Hayes succeeds Shayne George, who left for a hospital executive role outside of Florida.
