Reading Hospital's chief academic officer retires: 3 things to know

David George, MD, vice president of academic affairs and chief academic officer at Reading (Pa.) Hospital, retired, according to a Reading Eagle report.

Three things to know:

1. A rheumatologist, Dr. George has practiced for 35 years.

2. He is a recipient of the American College of Physicians' Laureate Award and Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education's Courage to Teach Award.

3. He serves as governor for the American College of Physicians.
