Providence Swedish taps new chief medical officer

Providence Swedish North Puget Sound in Everett, Wash., has named James Park, MD, as its new chief medical officer.

Dr. Park’s appointment to the role became effective as of June 19. In this new capacity, he will oversee care coordination, patient safety and physician services. 

Before joining Providence Swedish in this role, Dr. Park was a physician leader at the University of Washington Medicine’s Valley Medical Center in Renton, Wash.
