Providence Seaside Hospital CEO to resign

Michael Blauer, CEO of Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health & Services’ North Coast service area and Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, Ore., will resign at the end of April, according to The Daily Astorian.

Mr. Blauer is leaving his post to become an administrator for St. Luke’s Hospital in Mountain Home, Indiana, according to the report.

In his two years as the head of Providence Seaside Hospital, Mr. Blauer launched the hospital’s telehealth and telehospitalist program. He also helped prepare the organization for the new ElderPlace North Coast facility, which will open soon in Seaside, Ore.

The hospital has not yet announced who will serve as interim CEO while it searches for a permanent replacement.
