Providence names chief pharmacy officer

Renton, Wash.-based Providence has named Brad Myers, PharmD, as chief pharmacy officer, effective Aug. 24.

Dr. Myers currently serves as chief administrative officer for University of Oklahoma Health, where he oversees pharmacy, laboratory and radiology services for the academic health system, according to a July 21 news release. In the new role, Dr. Myers will lead pharmacy strategy and operations across Providence and oversee efforts to strengthen systemwide pharmacy services focused on quality, safety, value and patient care.

Dr. Myers previously held leadership roles at McKesson Corp., University of Missouri Health Care and Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Health.
