Providence adds 2 new leaders to physician enterprise team

Renton, Wash.-based Providence health system announced the additions of two new leaders to its physician enterprise team.

Daniel Carey, MD, will join the team after the first of the year as CMO. Dr. Carey currently serves as secretary of health and human resources for the Commonwealth of Virginia in Richmond, where he leads 12 agencies.

For the past four years, his areas of focus have included substance use and addiction, women’s health and children’s issues, a news release said.

Prasanna Mohanty has been named COO and will assume his new role on Dec. 6.

Mr. Mohanty brings 20 years of operational experience to the team. He most recently served as vice president of clinical operations for Cedars-Sinai Medical Network in Los Angeles, according to the news release.
