President of Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association to Retire in 2011

John Rivers, president and CEO of the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association, will retire on Jan. 13, 2011, according to an AzHHA news release.

Mr. Rivers has led the association since 1986 and serves as a member of its board of directors and as president of the AzHHA Education Foundation and its Service Corporation, according to the release. Prior to leading the AzHHA, he served eight years as regional director of the American Hospital Association in Kansas City, Mo.

The AzHHA has appointed a committee that will oversee a search for a new president and CEO.
