Piedmont Medical Center CEO departs after 1 year for new opportunity: 4 things to know

A little over a year into his tenure, Rock Hill, S.C.-based Piedmont Medical Center CEO Brad Talbert is leaving for a new job in Florida, according to a Herald Online report.

Here are four things to know:

1. Mr. Talbert, who assumed the CEO position at Piedmont in June 2016, will leave for a new opportunity in Jacksonville, Fla.

2. He came to Piedmont from Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, S.C., where he was CEO.

3. Mr. Talbert has more than 16 years experience as a healthcare executive.

4. Piedmont Medical Center CFO Steve Gilmore will serve as interim CEO, while the hospital searches for a permanent successor.
