Rehabilitation Hospital of Atlanta has appointed Amber Hester market CEO.
Ms. Hester will oversee operations at Rehabilitation Hospital of Atlanta and Rehabilitation Hospital of Henry in McDonough, Ga., according to a June 2 hospital release shared with Becker’s. Rehabilitation Hospital of Atlanta is a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital located inside Piedmont Atlanta Hospital and is a joint venture between Birmingham, Ala.-based Encompass Health and Atlanta-based Piedmont Healthcare.
Ms. Hester brings more than 20 years of healthcare finance and operations experience to the role. She has served as market CEO of Rehabilitation Hospital of Henry since 2021.
Before that, Ms. Hester was CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, a partner of Memorial Hospital Gulfport in Mississippi, for four years. She also previously served as CEO of two long-term acute care hospitals in the Boston area.
Rehabilitation Hospital of Atlanta opened in 2024.
