Pennsylvania system adds PR exec to C-suite

Butler, Pa.-based Independence Health System has appointed Kelley Skoloda as its chief marketing and communications officer.

Ms. Skoloda will oversee all marketing, branding and communication efforts for the five-hospital system. She succeeds Tom Chakurda, who is retiring from the role after six years.

Ms. Skoloda most recently served as founder and CEO of KS Consulting & Capital. Prior to this role, she was a partner and director of global marketing for the global PR firm Ketchum, according to a Jan. 9 news release. 

“I am honored to join Independence Health System during such a pivotal time,” Ms. Skoloda said. “I look forward to collaborating with the talented team to amplify our message, advance our mission of expert care, here, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.”
