Pennsylvania hospital CEO to retire

Richard Allen will retire June 30 as CEO of Warren General Hospital, an 85-bed facility in Erie, Pa., after more than a decade in the role.

Dan Grolemund will succeed Mr. Allen, effective July 1, according to an April 7 hospital news release shared with Becker’s.

During Mr. Allen’s tenure, Warren General achieved more than 20% growth in net revenue, generating more than $100 million annually through the addition of new services and increased community engagement and quality.

Mr. Grolemund currently serves as president and CEO of LECOM Health Corry (Pa.) Memorial Hospital, a role he has held since 2023. He began his healthcare career at Warren General, where he held multiple positions over 23 years.
