Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center selects permanent chief quality officer: 3 points

Penn State Milton S. Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center appointed Margaret Mikula, MD, permanent chief quality officer for the medical center and Penn State Medical Group practices.

Here are three points:

1. Dr. Mikula has served as interim chief  quality officer since Andrew Resnick, MD, departed in July 2016.

2. Prior to that, she was the medical director of quality and safety for Penn State Children’s Hospital in Hershey.

3. She completed a dual residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Penn State College of Medicine, also in Hershey.
