Hershey, Pa.-based Penn State Health has named Mumtaz Darbar as executive vice president and chief transformation officer.
Ms. Darbar joined Penn State Health in 2023 as its first chief clinical and academic integration officer, according to a Dec. 17 health system news release. In that role, she led strategic alignment between the health system and Penn State College of Medicine.
In her new position, Ms. Darbar will oversee corporate strategy and key transformation areas, including operational excellence and population health. She will also continue supporting the College of Medicine during its search for a new principal business officer.
Ms. Darbar will co-lead efforts to unify the system’s physician practices into a single medical group, working alongside Ken Wood, DO, Penn State Health’s chief clinical officer.
She previously held leadership roles at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City and at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
