Penn Highlands Clearfield (Pa.) selected Rhonda Halstead to serve as president, according to a report by The Progress.

Here are three things to know:

1. Ms. Halstead most recently served as Val Verde Regional Medical Center in Del Rio, Texas.

2. She has previous experience serving as vice president and assistant administrator at Rideout Regional Medical Center in Marysville, Calif.

3. She also served in management positions at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Panama City, Fla., and Vencore Hospital in Tampa, Fla.
