PeaceHealth taps 2 chief hospital executives

Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth has appointed two new chief hospital executives to its leadership ranks.

Cherelle Montanye was named chief hospital executive at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, and Kendall Sawa will return to PeaceHealth as chief hospital executive of PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview, Wash., according to a May 21 health system news release. 

Ms. Montanye joined PeaceHealth St. John in 2017 as chief administrative officer. Before that, she served as a regional vice president of Des Moines, Iowa-based Mercy Medical Center and CEO of Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls, Iowa.

Mr. Sawa is returning to PeaceHealth from Providence Portland (Ore.) Medical Center, according to the release. At Providence, he also served as interim chief executive of Providence Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City, Ore. 

Earlier in his career, Mr. Sawa worked at PeaceHealth Ketchikan (Alaska) Medical Center, according to the release.
