Dallas-based Parkland Health has named Brad Nitschke as executive vice president and chief legal officer.

Mr. Nitschke was named Parkland’s chief legal officer and general counsel in March and has supported the system’s operational and regulatory priorities since joining the organization in August 2021 as associate general counsel for operations and regulatory matters, according to an April 9 health system news release shared with Becker’s.

In his new role, he will oversee all legal affairs for Parkland Health, including legal services, risk management, and records and information management. He will also serve on the executive leadership team.

Prior to joining Parkland Health, Mr. Nitschke was a trial and investigations partner at a Texas-based law firm, where he advised healthcare, nonprofit, and other regulated organizations.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
