The National Institutes of Health has named a panel of experts that will lead President Barack Obama's Precision Medicine Initiative.

Chad Eckes, vice president and CIO of Winston Salem, N.C.-based WakeForestBaptistMedicalCenter, has been named executive vice president and CFO of the hospital, according to a Winston-Salem Journal report.

Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health has promoted Bruce Swords, MD, PhD, to CMO.

Newburgh, N.Y.-based St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital has announced the resignation of its president and CEO, Robert Ross. Mr. Ross will continue to serve the hospital in these roles until his departure in early June.

Denver-based DaVita HealthCare Partners CFO Garry Menzel has announced his resignation, according to a Denver Post report.

Henry Veenstra, president of Zeeland (Mich.) Community Hospital, is retiring Sept. 30 after 44 years at the hospital, 41 of which he spent serving as president.

Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pa., has named Stephen Massini, former chief administrative officer of Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System, as CFO, effective April 20.

Englewood, Colo.-based Centura Health has announced the appointment of Morre Dean as president of South Denver Group and CEO of Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver, effective March 30.

Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, S.C., has announced the appointment of Sue Shugart as COO.
