OU Health names chief nurse

Oklahoma City-based OU Health has appointed Stefanie Beavers, DNP, RN, as its inaugural chief nurse executive, the health system said March 28.

Dr. Beavers will oversee nursing operations for the system’s ambulatory services and three hospitals. She’ll also work with leaders at OU Health Sciences Center, the health system’s academic partner, to develop a strong pipeline of future nurses. The new role is part of OU Health’s broader organizational redesign announced in January. 

Dr. Beavers has served as chief nursing officer of Oklahoma Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City since July 2022. Prior to this role, she served as associate CNO at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford in Texas.
