Orlando Health’s CFO exits

Leslie Flake, BSN, has left her role as CFO of Orlando Health and Bernadette Spong, her predecessor, has stepped in until the health system can find a permanent replacement, a spokesperson for the health system confirmed to Becker’s Aug. 26.

Ms. Flake became CFO of Orlando Health in June 2022 to replace Ms. Spong, who retired after seven years as CFO of the system. Ms. Flake brought 20 years of finance leadership experience into her role, including time as senior vice president of finance at Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Spectrum Health and CFO and chief compliance officer of Phoenix-based Banner Health Medical Group.

The health system will begin its search for a new CFO immediately, the spokesperson said.
